Abstract In order to improve the ironmaking technology of large size blast furnace continuously, baced on first year practice on Baosteel No.4 BF, the measures for high productivity, heat load increment of BF,operation with low fuel ratio,and high temperature blast are analyzed. It is suggested that the BF productivity can be increased by many ways and the heat load is an important operation index,which can be used as an indicator for steady operation, low product cost, long campaign of large size BF.
