Abstract The reduction swelling of iron ore pellet is one of an important evaluation of the metallurgical properties . Because of the large-scale blast furnace, the request on pellets are constantly increasing , To get lower reduction swelling and quality of pellets is one of the pursuit of metallurgy workers. In this paper, under the present raw materials conditions of AnSteel, Adding additives containing CaO and / or MgO flux to the iron ore, and stduy on effect additives on Reduction Swelling of Iron Ore Pellets. From the results obtained, CaO deteriorated the reduction swelling of iron ore pellet, the swelling of iron ore pellet is controlled by adding additives containing MgO,With the flux in content increasing , the reduction swelling of iron ore pellet is lower.
