Abstract The caster and plate rolling mill of Nucor Hertford were supplied by Danieli. The plant features, plant parameter tuning and optimization, productivity and quality updating are introduced. This world widest slab caster with long funnel mould has produced prime quality products since the first heat and continues to break productivity record.
