Abstract Based on desulphurization of sintering flue gas in China and the conditions at a steel mill, the dense flow absorbers for sintering flue gas desulphurization (DFAFGD) were designed for two sintering machines of 52 m2 and 68 m2. The parameters of sintering flue gas and the characteristics of DFAFGD were discussed and the main factors affecting desulphurization efficiency were analyzed.By pilot experiment, the optimized parameters were obtained.
