Effect of Q-P(-T) Process on the Microstructure and Mechinicial Property of 35Si2Ni2 Steel |

Abstract The effect of “Quenching-Partitioning-(Tempering)(Q-P(-T)) process on the microstructure and mechinicial properties of 35Si2Ni2 steel were investigated in this paper, and compared with traditional Quenching-Tempering(Q-T) process, Microstructure was studyed by using SEM, TEM and XRD. The results show that, compared with traditional quenching-tempering process, samples treated by quenching-partitioning get more retained austenside, the strength decrease slightly, while the ductibility and toughness improved markedly. Retained austenside of the samples treated by quenching-partitioning-tempering process decomposited and ε carbides precipitated, which result in the increasing of yield strength, as well as the yield ratio.
