Comparison of the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of X70 Pipeline Steel Produced by Hot Tandem Mill and Reversing Mill |

Abstract The industrial contrast experiment of X70 pipeline steel produced by hot tandem mill and reversing mill was carried out in a domestic certain iron and steel corporation. The results indicate that the pipeline steel produced by hot tandem mill possesses higher yield strength, finer microstructure and better DWTT property, and that produced by reversing mill possesses higher tensile strength and low yield-strength ratio. It can be concluded that the interval in pass during finish rolling is an important reason to affect the mechanical properties of X70 pipeline steel.
