Experiments of LowBasicity Magnesian Oxidized Pellets |

Abstract Lowbasicity magnesian oxidized pellets were obtained by adding magnesite and limestone to increase the basicity and magnesia content of pellets. The pellets had high strength,good reducibitity, low reducing swell and high softmelt temperature.When the magnesia content was up to 2.5% and the basicity to 0.2, compared with common acid pellets,the strength of pellets increased from 3167 N/p to 3517 N/p and the reduction degree from 7052% to 80.80%, the reducing swell decreased from 13.3% to 5.7%,and the start soft temperature,the end soft temperature,the meltdropped temperature increased by 34 ℃,33 ℃,110 ℃ respectively.The excellent reducibility and softmelting of the pellets reduce the gap between pellts and highbasicity sinter.
