Catalytic Performance of Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane to Propene with the MnO / Blast Furnace Slag Catalyst |

Abstract A series catalyst of the MnO / Pangang Blast Furnace Slag supported was prepared by solid state grinding method and characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and H2-TPR. Their catalytic behaviors for the oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of propane to propene were also investigated. The results showed that they had a better catalytic activity for ODH of propane when the mnganese oxide loading was 20% and 17.84% conversion of propane and 63.75% selectivity of propene were reached with the catalyst at 500℃. The study provided a new way in comprehensive utilization of resources and reducing environmental pollution.
