Abstract The static recrystallization behavior of Nb-Ti microalloyed steel was investigated by two-stage interrupted compression testing. The static recrystallization activation energy of Nb-Ti microalloyed steel was determined and the static recrystallization kinetics model was established before strain-induced precipitation. The area measurement method and the integral-energy approach were used to calculate softening ratio which well reflected static recrystallization behavior and strain-induced precipitation behavior of the microalloyed steel. The softening ratio changes well reflect the evolution of microstructure and precipitates.The nose temperature of strain-induced precipitation was between about 900℃and 925℃,and the static recrystallization critical temperature was higher than 950℃.
