Torsional Vibration of Main Drive System With Impact of Slipping and Two-Clearance of a Heavy Plate Mill |

Abstract A four-degree-of-freedom non-linear torsional vibration model with two-clearance of main drive system was established, and numerical simulation of the torsional vibration of the mill in the slipping, the dynamic response of main drive system were obtained. According to analysis of the time-domain dynamic response, oscillator occurs to repeated impacts in clearance, and the relative amplitude also turn to larger when the system torsional vibration happened. Finally, torque amplification factors of system with two-clearance was calculated, and discussed the influence of TAF on the size of clearance and the position of the shaft section, compare the single-clearance and double-clearance system. This study provides reference for the research on different clearances control of mechanical system, especially multi-clearance system.
