Optimized control method of longitudinal thickness precision for cold rolled non-oriented silicon steel |

Abstract With the tracking on the longitudinal thickness precision of the cold rolled non-oriented silicon steel taken on,some problems such as incorrect thickness,low thickness hit rate of high precision band all over the length were found. To solve the problem,the main thickness control actuators of the plant were investigated. By analysis on the industrial process data and theoretical calculation,the influences of the X-ray gauge meter setting up parameters and cold rolling processes on the longitudinal thickness precision for cold rolled non-oriented silicon steel were obtained. Consequently,with related parameters optimized,a set of technology schedule for non-oriented silicon steel longitudinal thickness precision improvement was proposed. With the technology schedule applied to the industrial production,the incorrect thickness of the non-oriented silicon steel was eliminated,and the hit rate of high precision band for non-oriented silicon steel longitudinal thickness has been improved a lot. The hit rate within 5 μm rose from 85% to 98%. The hit rate within 3 μm came up to 90%.
