Abstract In order to realize the resource utilization of dusting ash and the effective predephosphorization of hot metal, it is of practical significance to try to prepare the hot metal dephosphorizer by using the converter secondary dedusting ash. The dephosphorization test was carried out by replacing the active ingredients in the pure dephosphorizer by different ratios of the converter secondary dedusting ash from two steel companies to find the best dusting ash replacement ratio. The test results show that the maximum dephosphorization rate of the two dephosphorizers is 52% and 30% respectively after using the dedusting ashbased dephosphorizers, the P2O5 activity coefficient in the dephosphorization final slag is significantly reduced, and the final slag phosphorus capacity is significantly increased. However, the phosphorus distribution ratio is relatively low. In addition, the dusting ashbased dephosphorizer also has a high desiliconization and desulfurization effect, and the maximum removal rate were over 95%, which indicates that this dephosphorizer can simultaneously realize the pretreatment of the hot metal "three off" operation, and it provides a new way for the secondary utilization of dusting ash.
