AbstractThe vertical tank technology for sinter waste heat recovery is one of the efficient ways for recycling sinter waste heat. According to the previous theoretical and experimental researches, the pilot scale vertical tank was taken as a research object, and then the analytic mathematical model of gas-solid heat transfer in vertical tank was established on the basis of the gas-solid flow and heat transfer theory in the non-fluidized bed. The effect of single parameter on the gas-solid heat transfer process in vertical tank was studied. And then the multi-target orthogonal tests were conducted for the parameter optimization. The two indexes including the exergy carried by the outlet cooling air and the resistance loss of sinter bed layer were evaluated quantitatively by using the method of weighted comprehensive score, and appropriate thermal parameters of vertical tank were determined. The results show that, for a given pilot scale vertical tank of 40t/h, the suitable thermal parameters are that the diameter of cooling section is 44m, cooling section height of tank is 66m and the apparent velocity of cooling air is 06m/s.
