Abstract:Abstract:field BF slag in Jiuquan Iron& Steel, parparing the experimental slag samples by the analytically pure reagents, the study on desulphurization capacity of slag systems containing barium was carried out using the double graphite crucible. The effect of BaO on kinetic conditions for desulphurization and the relationship between optical basicity and sulphur partition ratio were also investigated. The results show that the sulphur partition ratio increases gradually with the increasing of basicity and MgO content in slag, improving the desulphurization capacity of slag. When the mass fraction of BaO in the slag increases from 0% to 4%, there is a trend that the sulphur partition ratio increases firstly and then decreases slightly, and the sulfur distribution ratio reaches the maximum value when BaO content is about 3.5%. The increasing BaO content in slag can significantly accelerate the reaction rate in the initial stage of desulfurization process. The mass transfer coefficient of sulphur in slag rises with The increasing BaO content. The larger optical basicity, the higher the sulfur distribution ratio, indicating the desulphurization capacity of the slag is stronger.
