Abstract:Abstract:In order to identify influence mechanism of binary basicity on the physical properties of blast furnace slag of Baogang Group, pure reagents as CaO and SiO2 were added to adjust binary basicity of blast furnace slag based on chemical composition of No.7 blast furnace slag. The effect of binary basicity on the melting temperature, viscosity and free running temperature of No.7 blast furnace slag was studied experimentally. Meanwhile, the liquidus line temperature and enthalpy of slag under different basicity were calculated by using Factsage 7.0 thermodynamic software. The results show that with the increasing of basicity, the melting temperature of slag increase continuously, the viscosity and free running temperature first decrease and then increase, for every 0.1increase in basicity, the hemispheric temperature of slag increases by 467℃ and the melting range is 3.33-4.60℃; with the increasing of basicity from 1.1 to 1.3, the viscosity of slag above 1450℃ is lower than 0.5Pa·s, and the fluidity of slag is favorable. The calculation results of Factsage 7.0 show that the liquidus temperature of slag increases and the enthalpy decreases with the increasing of basicity. Considering the influence of binary basicity on melting temperature, free running temperature, enthalpy and viscosity of Baogang Group’s blast furnace slag, it is proposed that binary basicity should be controlled between 1.1 and 1.3.
