Abstract

The static recrystallization behavior of GCr15 steel during hot deformation was studied by using Gleeble- 3800 thermo- mechanical simulator through two- pass hot compression experiments. The stress- strain curves of the investigated steel with different experimental parameters were obtained. The effects of deformation temperature, strain rate and the interval time on the static recrystallization behavior were studied. The static recrystallization kinetics model of the investigated steel was established, and the static recrystallization activation energy was about 11872kJ/mol. The results show that the volume fraction of static recrystallization can obtained more with increasing deformation temperature, raising strain rate and extending interval time.
