Abstract

Abstract: Solidification homogenizing technology of Pulse Magneto Oscillation (PMO) was originally developed by the team of center for advanced solidification technology, which is based on the theory of metal solidification under the physical fields and has been successfully applied in industry after 15 years of research and development. The principle of PMO technology and its application in the industrial production of special steels was introduced, such as GCr15 bearing steel, 20CrMnTi gear steel and anchor chain steel. The industrial application shows that PMO technology can not only increase the proportion of equiaxed grains and modify the segregation, but also increase the casting speed and relax the control requirements of liquid steel superheat.
