Abstract

The thermodynamics conditions of formation of carbides and nitrides in HSLA steel (16Mn steel) liquid, semisolid and solid austenite have been studied systematically. As a result, the precipitation equilibrium concentration of some related carbides and nitrides at different temperature is calculated and the precipitation sequence at different temperatures is obtained.
