Abstract

Distribution regularities of chemical elements in the microstructures of high strength TRIP steel, such as Si, Mn, Nb, V, Al, C, were investigated by the methods of electron probe, Therm-Calc and X-ray. The results show that the solubility of Si, V and Al in ferrite is higher than in bainite, and the solubility of Mn and Nb in banite is higher than in ferrite. Nb and Al with high C and N appetency distribute unevenly in monitoring zone. Carbon content of ferrite is approaching to equilibrium state. Carbon content of bainite is dissolving in over-saturation state. Carbon mainly dissolve in austenite, total carbon content in austenite is of 70% in TRIP steels.
