Technique of Oxygen Blast Furnace With High Injection of PC and Hydrogenous Fuel |

Abstract A new ironmaking process for blast furnace which is characterized by pure oxygen blast and multi��injection with pulverized coal and H2��enrich gas is put forwarded. The theoretical calculation shows that the mass and energy balances both at top and bottom of furnace could be satisfied if the theoretical combustion temperature is controlled within the range of 1 800-1 850 ��. The results show that about 95% of the iron ore can be reduced before the active carbon gasification reactions occur. Coke takes part in the direct reduction at low gasification rate. In this situation the coke rate is reduced to 190 kg/THM and N2 content in the emitted gas can be lower than 0��7%. Therefore, the��s technique is beneficial for reusing the top gas and realizing the zero emission of CO2. Heat value of gas reaches 8 500 kJ/m3 which is a valuable resource not only suitable for conventional gas users but also for high efficiency CCHP system.
