Abstract:In order to avoid longitudinal surface crack in central area of CSP medium carbon Q235B steel in JISCO, the distribution, feature and mechanism of longitudinal surface crack were analyzed by theoretical research, experimental analysis and technical measures. The effect of factors such as inclusions in steel, S content in molten steel, mould taper, mould powder, caster condition and parameters on longitudinal serface crack was researched. Main factors were regulated and controlled, so that the longitudinal surface crack rate of Q235B steel has been decreased from 2.89% to 0.36%.
