Abstract:A slab solidification and heat transfer model is developed according to the situation of No.3 continuous casting machine in Baosteel,This model can simulate not only the array of roll and nozzle,but also the distribution of the slab temperature and ending point of the solidification of the slab.It is validated by means of pyrometer and nail-shoting test,the model shows a good match
