Abstract:The influences of casting speed and the cooling rate of the secondary cooling water in central segregation and shrinkage are studied. By using the method of pin shooting,under the constant casting speed,the shell thicknesses are measured at different cooling rates of the secondary cooling water, which are important to confirm the shell thickness and the parameters of F-EMS.The casting process and parameters of F-EMS were determined by installing the device of F-EMS.The internal quality of casting slab and the casting speed were improved and the central segregation of carbon was reduced after optimizing M-EMS.
