The Influence of Technological Parameters on Solidification Process of Continuous Casting Slab

Abstract:Most quality problems of continuous casting slab formed in the process of solidification, which is a very complex cooling process affected by technological parameters of continuous casting. Reasonable technological parameters can have an ideal temperature field of slab, which can improve the quality of continuous casting slab. Finite element method (FEM) to simulate the temperature field of slab was used, and then the influence of the technological parameters of the continuous casting on the process of solidification was discussed, and the necessary reference data for the actual production was provided.
