Abstract:The reasons of nozzle clogging during the process of casting on low carbon and low silicon steel in Chongqing Steel Smelting Plant were analyzed. Control measures were put forward on the base of the analysis. Desirable effects have been obtained after the control measures were carried out on preventing nozzle clogging, such as liability accident resulting from nozzle clogging in tundish has been reduced largely; the heat quantity of continuous casting has been improved from 6-7 to 11-12.
