Abstract:Optimization scheme is elaborated for supporting rolls of pinch roll segment in No.3 square and round billet continuous casting machine of Pangang (hereinafter CCM). By means of optimizing the configuration of supporting rolls, the structure of pinch roll segments is simplified with fewer rolls. Hence, withdrawal resistance is reduced together with lowered odds of billet lagging during abnormal accidents, and both on-line maintenance and off-line repair are lessened and facilitated, which reduce the consumption of spare parts and guarantee the economic benefits of CCM.
