Abstract:A high strength and toughness deep-sea oil drilling platform structure steel XG D36-Z35 (80~100 mm)was developed by a series of advanced technologies such as multi-micro alloy compound design, LF+VD refining, casting, TMCP rolling and normalizing heat treatment. The results show the steel has good metallurgical quality, high mechanical properties, which can meet the requirements of consumers. The qualified ratio of ultrasonic flaw detection attained 99.8%, the yield strength and tensile strength were more than 365 and 515 MPa respectively, and extensibility was more than 30.5%; Moreover, thickness directional section shrinkage also was more than 39.2%; and under -20 ℃, the 1/4 and 1/2 impact energy on different positions was more than 79 and 81 J respectively.
