Abstract��Flow field and temperature field of liquid steel in the mold of Tiansteel 4th slab continuous casting are researched by numerical simulation method. The flow characteristics and temperature distribution of the liquid steel in the mould are obtained under the existing process operating conditions. At the same time, their impact on the slab quality is determined, which provides a basis for the further optimizing process operating parameters.
