Influencing Factors Analysis on the Mold Level Fluctuation of Continuous Casting Peritectic Steel

Abstract:According to the mold level fluctuation phenomenon appeared on the No.3 continuous caster at the steelmaking plant research field, the effects of factors such as steel grades, carbon content and secondary cooling system on the mold level fluctuation were investigated through statistical analysis method. The results show that the steel grades those are easy to fluctuation are S275J0(HB), WL590, X52(PJ), ASTM65, B(H1) and X52(BG). In addition, the danger interval of carbon content is 0.075%-0.095%, the superior secondary cooling systems are Peri and MedC.
