Abstract:The secondary cooling fan of slab continuous caster was used to eliminate the high temperature steam, and cool equipment and casting blank through the air convection. It was found that the device exists some deficiencies through the use of more than one year, including: the connection between the secondary cooling fan damper fan blades and rotating shaft was easy to fall off, the joint between the damper blade and blade shaft was easy to sealing-off, the close opening of fan damper could not meet the technical requirements. In order to solve the above mentioned problems, a series of improvement measures for the fan-shaped section of the secondary cooling fan damper was proposed according to the actual situation of the field and the theoretical analysis. Design deficiencies of the secondary cooling fan damper are solved completely, the stable running of secondary cooling fan is guaranteed, and the equipment maintenance cost is reduced.
