Abstract:Took specifically optimized measures to solve the uneven stirring, negative segregation and electromagnetic interference on startup effectively in applying electromagnetic stirring at secondary cooling area to the heavy slab continuous caster of Bao Steel by analyzing the effect of electromagnetic stirring roller magnetic fields formation graph, installation mode, application current and stirring mode to the metallurgical effects of slab in depth. The inner quality of heavy slab was improved remarkably.
