Abstract:The structure and composition of the clogging were analyzed and the mechanism of the clogging in SEN was discussed by metallographic and SEM-EDS. The results indicated that the main composition of clogging were MgO-Al2O3-CaO、TiN and Ti2O3. Nozzle clogging was avoided effectively, through the process improvements of deoxidation in AOD and LF furnace, calcium treatment in LF furnace, and strengthening the control of the continuous casting process.
