Abstract:With beam blank continuous casting tundish as the research object, the software of FLUENT was adopted to simulate the influence of long nozzle immersion depth on liquid steel flow characteristics in beam blank continuous casting tundish. The results showed that the volume fraction of dead zone and plug flow had the decreasing tendency, but the volume fraction of mixed zone showed the opposite tendency, with the increased of long nozzle immersion depth. Further more,long nozzle immersion depth had some effect on removal ratio of inclusion in tundish.
