Abstract:For solving the problems such as inner crack, central segregation and central porosity of slab in high speed thin slab continuous casting,the formation mechanism of slab inner defect were analyzed. Through controlling reduction ending positions,improving secondary cooling water and equipments installation accuracy, the slab’s inner quality was improved obviously. According to Mannesmann criteria for evaluation, the level of central crack of medium carbon was 1.5, and the level of central segregation of medium carbon steel was 1, and the level of central crack and central segregation of low carbon steel were 1.
