Abstract:By scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis of slag defects of ultra-low carbon steel hot-rolled plate, it is determine that the mainly cause of the defects is involvement of casting powder in continuous casting process. By statistical?analysis of slag defect rate of ultra-low carbon steel hot-rolled plate with?defect position,?continuous casting heats, unsteady casting, degree of superheat and level fluctuation, to find out reasonable parameters of slag defects controlling. Through industrial production validation, it has obtained actual effect of the effective control of the occurrence of the slag defect, and slag defect rate is reduced from 1.3% to 0.3% or less.
