Abstract:The technology optimization of high casting speed has been researched since 2012 for the thin slab continuous casting and rolling production line. After the optimization, the casting speed reaches to 4.0-5.5 m/min from 4.0 m/min, the limit value is 6.0 m/min. With the higher casting speed, the surface and internal defects increase. Through the development and the optimization of mold powder, entry nozzle, cooling models of mold and narrow plate, the rate of cracking defect is reduced to 0.1%, the defect rate of surface slag inclusion is reduced to 0.03%, the life of crystallizer copper plate is remarkably prolonged, steel leakage ratio is 0.1%, and TISCO achieves stable production in the low-carbon and the medium carbon sheet in high casting speed.
