Abstract：The reformation on the secondary cooling guiding section of the billet continuous casting machine was introduced. After the reformation， the working life and long-term arc alignment precision was increased， and the maintenance workload was reduced. The long-term arc alignment precision was increased to 0.5 mm， and the working life was increased from two months to more than one year.
