Abstract:The disqualification in ultrasonic flaw detection reasons for U71Mn heavy rail were analyzed by macrographic examination,optical microscopy and scanning electron microscope. The results show that the main factors of disqualification in flaw detection are central porosity,micro-cracks,MnS inclusion and nitride inclusion.The inner quality and qualification rate in ultrasonic detection are improved by means of optimization of melting,continuous casting,bloom cooling mode and rolling.
