Abstract：Introduce the case of the research and product of the low carbon sulfur bismuth free-cutting steel 1214Bi in hangzhou steel . Replace plumbum with bismuth， introduct the design of a reasonable elements，added sulfur and bismuth to improve the performance of the free-cutting processes，and use potassium with the united of the sulfur and manganese to improve the property of the free-cutting processes，to effectively solve the problem of pollution. Through the reasonable process control and parameter adjustment，control the product composition accurately，make product quality and performance meet the user requirements.
