Abstract：Combined with the practice of steel production in Honghe steel， the factors that affect the ladle service life were analyzed. A series of effective measures were taken by the masonry process of ladle， the positioning and management of the ladle ventilating brick. The average ladle service life was increased from 35 to 85， and the fire-resistant material in ton steel was obviously reduced.
