Abstract：In relation to the influence of two diffident 8-strands tundish models on CCM equipment， casting process， operation， refractory consumption， production cost and profit， advantages and disadvantages of the two options based on the typical continuous casting projects in working were analyzed in detail. A comprehensive proposal and reference were generated in terms of 8-strands continuous casting equipment selection based on detailed analysis and thorough comparison.
