Abstract:In this study, the types, morphologies and distributions of inclusions and precipitates along the length of non-oriented silicon steel strip are systematically tested and analyzed. The inclusions above 1 um are mainly Al2O3 and CaO-Al2O3, which distribute in different parts of the coil with little differences. The fine precipitates below 0.5 um are mainly AlN, MnS and their composite precipitates. The number of precipitates at the head of the coil is obviously more than that at the tail. The differences of distribution of inclusions and precipitates lead to the differences of grain size, which can reach about 20% between head and tail. As a result, the magnetic properties between head and tail are different.
