Abstract:In this paper, the causes of nozzle clogging, stopper rising and ladle flow stopping in continuous casting of aluminium-containing electrical steel in CSP production line are researched. The clogs are mainly Al2O3 and high melting point 6Al2O3?CaO and 2Al2O3?CaO. The reason for nozzle clogging is that the content of [Ca] in molten steel is relatively low and the inclusion modification is not complete. The oxidation of top slag is high when RH leaves the station, which results in the formation of new Al2O3 inclusions during Slag-steel reaction in continuous casting process and pollutes molten steel. By properly increasing the calcium content in ferrosilicon, adding top slag modifier in converter tapping and ladle capping in transporting process, the problem of nozzle nodulation was solved without calcium treatment, and the ladle flow stopping was eliminated.
