Abstract:In the present study, the effect of submerged entry nozzle structure and casting speed on the flow field of a 250mm slab mold in a domestic steel company was studied by using the numerical simulation method, and the suitable nozzle structure and process parameters were optimized.The study results showed that the optimum nozzle structure was 3# nozzle and the reasonable casting speed was 0.95 m/min. Through industrial production test, it was proved that the thickness of liquid slag layer and the activity of molten steel were suitable under the condition of 3 # nozzle, and quality of the slab was improved because the inclusion content of the slab was reduced by 23.5% after the test.
