Abstract:Steel clamping problem was analyzed which was occurred during the nozzle quick replacement process of slab continuous casting machine for many years in No.1 Steel-making and Rolling Plant,Tangsteel. The steel clamping problem are influenced by many factors such as:the design and quality of refractories, the control flow of stopper rod,the maintenance of the quick-replace mechanism, the contol level of cooling air and argon for the quick replacement mechanism, the operation of nozzle-replacement. According to the above-mentioned, the corresponding measures had been worked out. The problem was solved with the measures taken gradually.Production of the slab continuous caster is stable.
