Abstract:In order to determine basic secondary cooling water table of slab caster quickly and accurately, heat transfer in secondary cooling zone and secondary cooling water of slab casters are analysed, the distribution startegy of slab caster secondary cooling water is researched and a distribution curve of secondary cooling water is put forward by numerical fitting. The results indicate that secondary cooling water density of loose side in each cooling zone of slab caster is inversely to the distance between the middle point of each secondary cooling zone and the meniscus of mold to the power of 1.099, the secondary cooling water distribution curve is consistent with the continuous caster data designed by a foreign company.
