Abstract:In order to solve the problem of frequent sliver defects of cold rolling using sheet steel produced through CSP process, the sliver defects of hot-rolled coils and cold-rolled coils of cold rolling using sheet steel were analyzed in depth, the correlation between defects and process parameters was studied, and the key points of process control were found. The defects of hot rolled coils come from the large mold fluxes and nozzle clogs falling off. The key points of control are the carbon content of molten steel in argon station, the aluminum consumption in LF refining processand the Ca/Al ratio of molten steel at end of LF refining. A small part of the slivers of cold rolling coils are scratches, and most of them are small mould fluxes. They can be identified by the appearance of the surface tester. The effective measures to control the mould fluxes slivers are to control the casting speed, stabilize the productionrhythm, and reduce the abnormal situation of the steelmaking process. Through joint research, the sliver defects reduction rate of CSP cold rolling using sheet steel has been steadily controlled from 8.88% to below 2.0%, which has strong practical reference significance.
