Abstract:In view of the research status of solidification defects of casting billets in domestic continuous casting production, the main factors affecting the defects such as center segregation, shrinkage cavity, shrinkage porosity and solidification crack of continuous casting billets are discussed, including superheat, electromagnetic stirring of crystallizer, drawing speed, secondary cooling intensity and water distribution system, electromagnetic stirring in secondary cooling zone, final electromagnetic stirring, pressing down system of solidification end, and installation accuracy of straightening roller. The influence of various factors on the solidification defects of continuous casting billet was analyzed, and the key points of technological parameter adjustment for improving the solidification quality of continuous casting billet were expounded. In recent years, many domestic iron and steel enterprises have done a lot of work in improving the internal quality of continuous casting billet and improving the production efficiency of continuous casting billet according to the production conditions on the spot. The production efficiency and the quality of casting billet have been greatly improved. However, in order to meet the urgent demand for high-quality iron and steel materials in domestic high-end manufacturing, it is urgent for scientific and technological workers in the industry to carry out further intensive study on the continuous casting process in combination with metallurgical solidification principle, so as to produce high solidification quality continuous casting billet.
