Abstract Principle and application of several kinds of Determination System of Slab Quality abroad at present were introduced; however,because of restraint from technology and funds, Determination System of Slab Quality hadn’t been applied in the domestic casting machine. Therefore CCTEC autonomously developed Quality Estimation System for domesic conticasters, which was applied on the line successfully. The function, principle and characteristics of QES were introduced in detail and application of QES in Laiwu has steel has achieved better results.
