Abstract Software development, hardware architecture and application with independent intellectual property rights of slab quality database in Han Steel were introduced. The important role of slab continuous casting quality database was analyzed in resolving continuous casting quality control issues and the realization of digital and informatization. The transportation and promotion of the slab quality database was elaborated.
